FAQ's

“What is required to secure our Marriage Intensive?
"
A deposit of 50% is required to secure your dates for a Private Marriage Intensive. Payment in full of $1895.00 is required for a Small Group Intensive.

“What is the difference between a private Marriage Intensive and a Small Group Marriage Intensive?”
A private Marriage Intensive offers the couple more privacy. It is an option for couples who have a highly complex situation.

The Small Group Marriage Intensive is for couples struggling with infidelity, separation, past hurts and distrusts. The added benefit of being able to hear other couple's struggles helps couples to not feel alone and helps couples learn from each other. Many times couples continue contact with each other after the Marriage Intensive for support and accountability

“My spouse doesn’t want to come - could you call them and convince them to come?"
Unfortunately, due to the ethical standards of all Counselors we are unable to pursue someone. We are happy to receive a call to answer any questions they may have.

“Who should not attend a Marriage Intensive?"

People who have an active addiction to alcohol, drugs, or other others substances who are not currently in a recovery program. Couples who are experiencing domestic violence should also not attend.

“Do you offer after care support?”

Yes. Not only does your Counselor send you home with tools to keep your relationship stay on track, they also offer you three months of  telephone counseling at no additional charge. Each of us feels strongly that "after-care" should be a part of every Marriage Intensive. We want to be there for you after you leave. We also teach couples how to put six months of accountability into their marriage goals.

“Do I need to be a Christian to attend?”

No! All are welcome! Although we are Christian Marriage Counselors, we do NOT use the Bible to beat you over the head. We accept you as you are, and are non-judgmental.

“Additional Info”
Marriage Intensives are available throughout the year and can usually be scheduled on short notice. Most of our couples come from out of state. Couples need to arrive the day before their Intensive so that they will be ready to start the next morning. There is a lunch/rest break in the middle of each day. There are evening exercises to do each night.

"Where do we stay?”
For couples who want to add some romance to their Marriage Intensive, we recommend the Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge. Their website is  http://www.theballantynehotel.com/ They are a full service hotel with Golf, Spa and many luxury features.

For couples who are not interested in these amenities, we send a list of Hotels that are convenient to our location. We send the list of hotels after a couple has scheduled their Marriage Intensive. If you would like the list prior to scheduling we will be happy to email it by request.
