FAQ's
“What is required to secure our Marriage Intensive?"
A deposit of 50% is required to secure your dates.
“My spouse doesn’t want to come - could you call them and convince them?"
Unfortunately, due to the ethical standards of all Counselors, we are unable to pursue someone. We are happy to receive a call to answer any questions they may have.
“Who should not attend a Marriage Intensive?" Couples who are experiencing domestic violence should not attend until they have gone through an anger management program
“Do you offer after care support?”
Yes. Not only does your Counselor send you home with tools to keep your relationship on track, we also offer you three months of telephone counseling at no additional charge. Both of us feel strongly that "after-care" should be a part of every Marriage Intensive. We want to be there for you after you leave. We also teach couples how to put six months of accountability into their marriage goals.
“Do I need to be a Christian to attend?”
No! All are welcome! Although we are Christian Marriage Counselors, we do NOT use the Bible to beat you over the head. We accept you as you are, and are non-judgmental.
“Additional Info”
Marriage Intensives are available throughout the year and can usually be scheduled on short notice. Most of our couples come from out of state. Couples need to arrive the day before their Intensive so that they will be ready to start the next morning. There is a lunch/rest break in the middle of each day. There are evening exercises to do each night.
"Where do we stay?”
There are many convenient hotels within a short distance of our location. When couples schedule, we send a list of hotels that are the closest. You can also go to MapQuest to search for additional hotels, particularly if you have points for hotel chains.
We also suggest checking with Priceline.com to find excellent rates on hotels.
