I really want to do this, but can't convince my husband to come. What can I do?Many couples find themselves in the situation where one spouse wants to try and save their marriage, and the other does not. The first thing I would do is email us and ask for the article, "What To Do When Your Spouse Wants To Leave." Although learning what makes a departing spouse want to leave, and what you may be able to do about it may help, there are times when we are contacted to late. Although we believe it is *never* "too late" for any marriage to be restored (even if that couple is already divorced) but there can come a time when it is too late to get your spouse into counseling. We wish with all our hearts that couples wouldn't wait until their relationship is at it's end to contact us. But the fact is, most couples won't put in this kind of effort, time and money unless we are their last hope. Couples usually wait until one person's hand is dialing an attorney, and the other spouses hand is dialing for counseling. Go back to the HomePage and on the menu read about our "Spouse Intensives", one person really *does* have the power to turn things around by themselves when they learn new approaches towards their spouse. I pray this helps. |
